Golden Teacher Society from Oxford, Mississippi, blends alternative surf rock with psychedelic undertones to create a sound that’s loud, loose, and full of life. Featuring Thomas Turner on vocals and guitar, Henry Primos on bass and backing vocals, Aiden Chapman on lead guitar, and Lily Kruse on drums, the band has built its name playing shows across Mississippi, including Proud Larry’s in Oxford and Hal & Mal’s in Jackson. Known for their high-energy performances and connection with the crowd, Golden Teacher Society keeps the spirit of rock and roll alive with every show. Their latest EP, Release 2: Electric Boogaloo, featuring tracks like “Belcourt” and “Suzie B,” captures that same raw energy and stays true to their message: love is the only future.
